About deHertz
Most of what matters at work is never written down.
It is said in a meeting, a corridor, a car. We built a piece of jewelry that remembers it for you.
Why we exist
The mission.
Give people a perfect memory of their own conversations, without asking them to stop being present in the room.
Everyone has had the experience of leaving a meeting knowing that something important was said, and being unable to reconstruct it. Notes are a poor substitute — you can either participate or transcribe, and the moment you choose transcribe, the conversation changes shape around you.
deHertz is our answer. A 36mm medallion on a chain that captures the conversation, turns it into something you can read in a minute, and lets you search every word you have ever heard.
What we believe
Four things we decided early.
The conversation is the work
For most people, the important part of the job is not written down anywhere. It is said out loud, once, and then it is gone. That is the problem we exist to fix.
Worn, not carried
A device you have to take out and place on the table changes the room. A piece of jewelry does not. Form was a product decision, not a styling one.
Built for this region first
Meetings here run in Arabic and English in the same sentence, with Hindi and Urdu in the room too. We built for that from the start rather than translating a product designed elsewhere.
Trust before features
An always-worn recorder only works if people believe what you tell them about it. We would rather ship fewer features and explain them completely.
How we got here
Short history.
We are a small team in United Arab Emirates, building hardware and software in the same building.
- 2025
deHertz begins as an internal tool at Affworld, transcribing property meetings across Dubai.
- 2026
First hardware prototypes — a machined medallion rather than a clip, because nobody wore the clip.
- 2026
The deHertz app ships for iOS and Android with Arabic, Hindi and Urdu transcription.
- Next
The pendant reaches customers across the UAE, followed by the wider GCC.
