Hardware & pairing
- How do I pair my deHertz pendant?
- Open the deHertz app, go to the Home tab and tap Pair Device. Make sure the pendant is switched on and next to your phone — the app finds it over Bluetooth Low Energy and pairs it without you typing anything in.
- How long does the battery last?
- Up to 18 hours of continuous recording on a single charge, and 7+ days on standby. It charges from empty to full in about 45 minutes over USB-C or the magnetic dock.
- Can I record without the pendant?
- Yes. The app has a phone-microphone mode and can import existing audio files, so you can capture something on the spot or bring in a voice note you already have.
- The pendant will not pair. What now?
- Charge it for ten minutes first — a flat battery is the most common cause. Then make sure Bluetooth is on and the app has Bluetooth permission. If it still will not pair, message us and we will work through it with you.
Transcription & AI
- How fast are transcripts and summaries ready?
- Transcription starts the moment a recording finishes syncing. A one-hour conversation is usually transcribed, summarised and turned into action items within 60 to 90 seconds.
- Which languages are supported?
- 15: English, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Turkish, Italian and Tagalog. You can set your languages in your profile.
- How do reminders work?
- When you say something with a date attached — “I will send the contract on Thursday at 3pm” — deHertz picks up the commitment and the time, and schedules a notification for it.
- The transcript came back in the wrong script.
- Hindi occasionally used to transcribe into Urdu script. That is fixed. If you see it on a new recording, send us the recording ID and we will look at it directly.
Privacy, sync & integrations
- Are my recordings private?
- Yes. Audio is encrypted in transit and at rest with AES-256. We do not sell your data and we do not use your audio or transcripts to train public AI models. The full detail is on the security page.
- How does Google Calendar and Drive sync work?
- Connect your Google account in Settings. Meetings detected in your conversations sync to your calendar, and raw audio backs up to your Drive automatically.
- How do I delete a recording, or everything?
- Deleting a recording in the app removes the stored audio, not just the entry. Deleting your account erases every recording, transcript, summary and reminder we hold.
